From a quiet passion to a global family — this is the story behind The Ethnic Jewels.
Hi, I’m Rizwan Ahmad, from Jaipur — the Pink City of Rajasthan, India — a city known for its rich heritage and craftsmanship. What started as a simple fascination with nose jewelry gradually turned into a lifelong journey of creating timeless pieces like nose rings, nostril rings, nose studs, and dangle nose ring with stud designs — now loved by customers across the world.
Back in 2014, I launched my first Etsy store when nostril ring piercing jewelry and traditional Indian nose piercings were still new to international markets like the USA and UK. There were very few sellers offering authentic designs, and I was proud to introduce handcrafted nose rings and nose studs inspired by Indian culture to a global audience.
This journey wasn’t planned — it was built with patience and passion.
A close Bengali friend, who specialized in nose jewelry, became my mentor. After long working days, I would sit with him and learn the art — understanding every detail, curve, and technique that goes into crafting a perfect nostril ring or a delicate nose stud.
In 2017, due to policy issues, my first Etsy shop was suspended. It was a tough moment, but I didn’t give up. I moved to Amazon, and by 2018, I returned to Etsy with a new shop: jewelsstore18. Every setback taught me something, and every restart brought me closer to where I am today.
Today, The Ethnic Jewels has grown into a trusted name among customers worldwide — from individual buyers to wholesale retailers. What began with nose rings, nose piercings, and septum rings has now evolved into a complete jewelry collection. From elegant navel belly button piercing styles and belly button rings to timeless earrings and stud earrings, from meaningful engagement rings to handcrafted sterling silver pieces and men’s rings, every design reflects our commitment to quality, authenticity, and craftsmanship.
